A little about us

I started as a hobby making a fairy for our own garden to brighten up and create a feature and focal point to the landscaping. This generated quite a lot of interest and suddenly I was asked if I could make a fairy for some friends and family. This hobby then turned to a more serious approach and now we have a fully equipped workshop where the magic happens.

Each fairy is unique and made to the customers specification. I like to take time with a client to really create and translate the vision they have of the fairy they want to see come to life. 

So far I have had commissions for a new arrival in a family where the fairy will look out for and watch over the newborn baby, and will be a friend and guardian for the child as she grows. Also special occasions are catered for such as Wedding Anniversaries, special milestone birthdays or just a special occasion to have a unique piece of magical sculpture in ones garden. We also consider installations in more public areas. 

Ireland has always been steeped in the mystery and sagas of ancient times and the story of fairies is part of local folklore. Fairies are secretive and are sometimes blamed wrongly by the local Irish for many things which they cannot explain. As a result, the fairies like to be left alone and it is considered bad luck to disturb a fairy bower or a Lone Bush. But, they do love children and if you treat them well they may just grant you a wish at their fairy tree or Lone Bush. I recall many years ago seeing a Fairy Fort in the middle of a farmers field. This was an area not to be touched as it would bring bad luck if the fairy fort was disturbed in any way. So here was the magic of these creatures and set me thinking that I could create and bring to life so to speak fairy sculptures to watch over and bring good luck to those who possess and cherish one of my sculptures.

Darriagh the Fairy of “Health and Wellbeing” will be on display outside the Happy Pear and will bring some fun and interest to all the fans of Dave and Steve.
