Greystones Guide Interview

The firm-buttocked young David O’Reilly may have just started doing his Stainless Steel Sculptures during lockdown, but they’re already going nationwide. And if you need proof, just tune into RTE1 tonight at 7pm.Because that’s where you’ll find David. And his Stainless Steel Sculptures. On the good flagship Nationwide.Be. The. Holy. Jiggers.Over to the man himself…“Since I began by making my first fairy last April, and after a Greystones Guide interview, business really took off.!I have a list of commissions and with publicity in The Irish Times‘ We Love page in their Weekend magazine, plus a feature in last week’s Sunday Times, sure, we’ve been out the door.“With masks firmly on, of course.“All the Sculptures are bespoke and tailored to the individual customer’s tastes, and this has really worked well as each client gets exactly what they are looking for to spread a little magic in these dark times. I have also developed a range of solid steel sculptures that are proving very popular. These are made by welding stainless steel to create an abstract piece or a figure sculpture. Two of these I am working on at the moment and will be on the website when completed.“And now the growth of the business has attracted the attention of RTEs flagship programme Nationwide. On the telly. Who woulda thunk it…?“I am open to enquiries no matter how quirky or interesting and hope to turn a person’s imagination into a beautiful unique piece that will last for decades and bring joy and happiness wherever they are located. Be they our Fairy range in stainless steel wire or the more elaborate pieces in welded steel.“All you have to do to start the journey is contact Dave on stainlesssteelsculptures.ie and we can begin the journey together.”You can explore Stainless Steel Sculptures here, and go follow on Instagram here and YouTube here.
